Replacement Solderless 3M Silicone Connectors

These Silicone Solderless Connectors are included in some of our lighting fixtures and are used to connect the Pig-Tail wires from the internal light socket to any 12-volt power supply line. Use to electrically connect two or three wire ends, insulate the connection and provide a moisture resistant seal.

 Recommended for use with low energy underground circuit wires, sprinkler systems, dog fencing, landscape lighting or other moisture resistance wires for applications of less than 30 volts. 

Sealant is a mineral oil-based grease. Maximum insulation O.D.diameter of 0.155 inches (3,9 mm) and a operating temperature of 221(deg)F (105(deg)C).

• Works best with 14-Gauge or smaller Low-Voltage Copper Stranded Cable that has a thinner rubber installation or thinner gauge wire IE: 14/2, & 16/2.  They will not work on MALIBU 12/2 wire whose insulation is too thick to fit into the Silicone connector feed wire side.  They will work on our Kerr 12/2 wire but you may have to strip off the insulation in order for the wire to fit into the hole.
• NO SPECIAL TOOLS NEEDED!  Only a wire cutter to cut the 12-volt supply line and a pair of plyers to crimp the connector closed and make the electrical connections. (see link to instructions below for more information)
• Best connectors for wet locations
• No need to strip off insullation from the wires to be inserted.  Just insert your wires to be connected all the way into the holes in the 3M connector.  Then using a pair of pliers (or hammer), squeeze the black tab so it depresses into the 3M connector housing.  This will automatically cause the internal connector to pierce the insullation of the inseted wires and make a waterproof connection between all of the inserted wires.  As you depress the black tap, the silicone that is stored under the black cap will coat and seal all internal connections from moisture.
