Fence Posts - 72" High
These fence posts are our Granite Light & Boundary Posts
but used in a different application.
The Fence Posts measure 7" x 7" x 72"
High (Exterior) and will cover a 5" x 5" x 71" post
Note: These fantastic rock creations are custom
made to order and may take 10-14 business days to produce (a little
longer during the busy periods). Each rock goes
through 6 processes before it is shipped.
First,
we mix our patented compounds to your color choice and line the
rock mold to the correct thickness forming your rock.
Second,
we allow the compound to cure & dry then we remove it from
the mold. Third,
On some rocks, we then spray a fiberglass reinforsement layer on to
the inside of the rock. This then has to cure.
Fourth,
we trim off any excess compond and fiberglass so your rock will sit
flat. Fifth,
we apply a waterproffing sealer to the outside of the now cured
rock compound so it will last for many, many
years. Sixth & last
step, we select the proper
box and pack your order so it can be safely shipped to your
location.
To install
these posts in a fence application you will need to do the
following steps. (See photos below for visual
reference). You can do this for an existing fence or build
yourself a new one. One advantage of our fence system is that
there is no difference between line posts and corner posts.
Our stone posts can be used for either application. You
can even attach a mail box onto the street side of a post.
Because the posts are hollow, it is very easy to install lights on
top or on the sides of these posts completing the overall look of a
stone post fence!

NOTE: Actual color may
vary from adjacent color samples due to differences in your
computer monitor settings. Most rocks have some white
marblling & real mica flecs to add additional character and
reality to the rocks. If you are unsure of the color, or
would like a sample, we offer free 4" x 6" samples. You pay
just the USPS Priority Mail Shipping of $5.95 per
sample.
Createk Stone's
artificial rocks are made from a patented composite polymer
suitable for indoor and outdoor applications and will last
forever because of its unique composition. The rocks are not
painted. The color is impregnated completely through and is
colorfast. They will not change with exposure to sunlight,
water, or degrees of varying temperatures. Unlike other
artificial stone products, if chipped, Createk Stone will appear
just like real chipped stone because the color is infused
throughout the product..
Some Createk rocks
are sprayed with a fiberglass shell on the inside to add additional
strength & structural support. They are durable and lightweight
but will not blow away with non-tornatic
winds.
Createk Stone
provides the apperance and longevity of natural stone, with out the
weight or costs associated with it. It is only 2.25 lbs per
sqft and therefore, can easily installed & transported.
Additionally, our stones will not leach lime or display calcium
buildup. Moss & Lichen will adhere to the surface of the
rock and will give it a centries old look. If you prefer
a cleaner looking surface, Createk Stone can be power washed
without changing the color or contour, so it will never need to be
repainted or touched up!
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Step #1
Use an existing 4" x 4" fence post or install a new pressure
treated one. For best stability, make sure at least 1/3
of the total length of the post is buried in the ground. (You
can also set the post in concrete for additional support.)
Use a level to make sure your post is straight and level as you
pack in the dirt around the base or allow the concrete to set.
(makes the
job look much nicer.) Then using a saw, cut the top of
the wood post (if needed) so it is no more than 67" off the
ground.

Step #2
Slide the Createk Stone Post over the wooden fence
post. For a more realistic look, make at least 1"-2" of the
stone be buried under the dirt. This make the post look like
it goes deep into the soil and is larger than what people can
see.

Step #3
Now you will want to secure the Createc stone post to the
interior wooden support. (Hint: place the attatching screws
so they are covered by the Rail Mounting Brackets).
We use standard 2 ½" treated self drilling wood deck screws.
You will want to install the next wooden support &
Createk
Stone Post so that your cross rails can be
installed. It does not matter what the distance is between
posts as long as you have cross beams that can span the distance in
one piece.

Step #4
Measure the distance between your two fence post and cut your
cross beams to that measurement minus the thickness of the 2
support brackets (approximately ¼").
Remember
to measure twice - cut once!

Step #5
Have a helper assist you in holding up the cross beams so you
can get the proper spacing. Once you find the height you want
to install the cross beams, use a marker to scripe the placement of
the cross beam end. (Hint: We like to install one side then place a level
on top of the cross beam and make sure it is perfectly level when
you make the corrisponding marks on the next post.)

Step #6
This is the time to install the mounting brackes for your cross
beams. We typically utilize white vinyl cross beams installed
with the points (corners) at the 12, 3, 6, & 9 o'clock
position. This will prevent people from sitting on your fence
and I think it adds an "upscale" look. The mounting brackets
we use are available at any local home center or fence
supplier. Use the same treated self-drilling wood deck screws
that you used to secure the Createk Stone Post to
the interior wooden 4 x 4's. For extra support, make sure the
bracket screws are embedded into the interior 4 x 4.

Step #7
Repeat the process described in Step # 5 for installing the
upper cross beams. In our example, we are installing two
cross beams per section. You can install up to five on
our 72" posts. This would be used if you wanted to
contain larger dogs, sheep or similar sized animals that
could sneak in between a two rail fence. For an added effect,
add a wraught iron lamp, mailbox, or hitching post to complete the
old world look of your new Createk Stone Post Fence.
Project took us around 1 hour to install & Looks
Great!
