2/17/2014 – Could it be used as a support wall and living in Utah the snow melts continually, would it be advisable to leave the tank open during warmer days to catch the thaw.
thank you
Response From TJB-INC: The problem will be the freezing of any stored water in the unit. For regions where water freezes, the tanks should be drain prior to winter to avoid damage.
1/12/2014 – If this is up against an outside wall, what prevents it from tipping over since it is only 6" wide? Does it have braces attached to the wall and if that is not possible what is the solutuion?
Gary Adkins
Response From TJB-INC: You would bolt it to an existing structure if it is going to be a straight wall. If it is to be free-standing, then it needs to zig-zag.
9/8/2012 – what are all the dimentions of the 6" rainwater fence(one unit)? Is the fennel included? how many side openings does the end-unit have originally? How do we mark an end unit on our order( or they are all the same?
Thank you
Response From TJB-INC: All of the units are the same. You will cut one of the 4" outlets for your input. If you are combining multible units, use the matching openings and connect with a 4" Felco connector that is available at any plumbing supply or home center near you.
7/30/2012 – What coupon code could I use on this system?
Response From TJB-INC: We have no coupons for these products.
7/24/2012 – I notice in promotional photos most of the walls units shown are identical modules, but there is one "end wall" unit with a "complete" or "finished" end/side face which is void of any corner offsets or adaptors for adjacent connections. Is this end wall condition available as an option? If so, how should it be specified if one or more of these units is desired in a multi-unit order, and can it be specified for left or right condition? For instance, I am thinking about a 3-unit order, where the center wall is the standard module and primary "service unit" (with top inlet and bottom outlet, and adaptor connections on both sides), and the adjoining connecting walls located on either side of the center wall with the "finished" end condition on the outer ends of each. It would also be important that the decorative stone textured face be consistent across each of the three units; which would require the "finished" end condition be on the left end of the left wall unit, and the right end of the right wall unit? Is it possible to specify the order accordingly, and would there be an additional charge for these special conditions?
Response From TJB-INC: Each unit is adaptable like that and the only pieces you would need to source out would be pvc elbow brackets. Very simple from every home depot location. As far as the mold, there is only the one multi-functional unit that can be use vertically, horizontally, upright or flat.
5/1/2012 – Hello,
I am still interested in purchasing the rain tanks from your website. I am waiting for the final estimate on paver installation.
I had asked you the question on rain water tank installation, vertical or horizontal on 4/16/12.
Can you please edit my question on your website so that it does not reveal my phone number?
Response From TJB-INC: All Set. Phone # Has been Removed!
4/16/2012 – I was interested in purchasing atleast 50 raintanks.
I would like the 71 gallon above ground raintanks to serve a dual purpose of being a wall of a raised garden bed. So instead of standing tall upright, the tank would still stand vertically but technically be standing on its side. ie instead of a tall fence,I would have a shorter fence as the tanks are standing on the long side on the ground.
I am in the process of landscaping the yard and can get the landscaper to secure the rain tanks.I hope this explains what I want to do with the tanks.
Thanks,
Anju
Response From TJB-INC: Absolutely this can be done! We have several applications where the homeowners use the tanks for solutions like this and it is done in one of two ways.
1) With a custom fitting we have that penetrates the side of the tank and allows an adaptation hose.
2) Custom rubber couplers with a 90 degree bend opposed to the traditional straight 3?? x 3?? coupler.
Either option will only run the customer an additional $25.00 per tank for horizontal installation.
I found the other company that sold these units $10.00 cheaper. There shipping is $40 more per tank. We are the best deal!
8/10/2011 – How can the "new" Contain Aboveground Rainwater Tank Fence (the one with the cubbyholes and fake rockwork look, 6" thick) hold 71 gallons? 72" x 30" x 6" by my calculation comes to 12,960 cubic inches or 58 gallons before subtracting for the thickness of the plastic and the cubbyholes.
Oops?
Response From TJB-INC: Hi Jim, Thanks for spotting the error. The gallonage is correct. I had the wrong dimensions for the units listed. The old tank = 6' Tall X 2'3" wide X 6.5" thick equal 58 USWG. The new tank = 6' Tall X 2'8" wide X 6" thick equal 71 USWG.
