Pond Aeration Pump Systems
(Products available at
bottom of this page)
Layers of water form one above another in a
stratified nature. This occurs during certain times of the
year. Warmer, oxygen-rich water develops near the surface
while cooler, nutrient laden and oxygen deficient water forms near
the bottom.

Non-Aerated Lake.
It is important to break this cycle of
stratification, to make your lake or pond a desirable
ecosystem.
Symtoms of Lake Stratification:
-
Excessive plant and/or algae growth.
-
Large and/or chronic fish kills.
-
Muck accumulation along the bottom and
shoreline.
-
Foul odors (hydrogen sulfide gas ) bubbling to
the surface.
-
Cloudy or murky water leading to a loss of water
clarity.
-
Poor fishing with fewer desirable
species.
A pond aerator is the perfect solution for
improving water quality in golf course water hazards, retention
ponds and larger bodies of water where the water depth exceeds a
couple of feet. In contrast to floating
fountains, bottom aerators aerate the entire depth of the
pond, not just the upper layer of water near the
surface. These pond aerators add oxygen at the bottom of your
lake or pond where it is often deficient, and the column of upward
moving water and oxygen eliminates stratification of the water
resulting in control of algae, muck, foul odors and murky
water.
Quieter than fountain type
aerators with less water loss due to evaporation, these lake
aeration systems have another significant advantage over fountain
aerators - LOW COST OF OPERATION and LOW COST OF INITIAL
INVESTMENT
Fountain Aerators
 The continuing cycle of water
circulation and induced wave action prevents thermal stratification
and supports aerobic bacterial action. Stagnant water is also a
mosquito breeding environment. Your result is clearer, cleaner,
odor-free water.
