The Blizzard Sport is the
latest in portable snowmaking technology. An extremely efficient
snowmaker, the Sport is lightweight, easily transportable and
operates with the flick of a single switch.
The patented Blizzard Sport has been engineered
with the highest quality components and with the same technology as
industrial models used at premier ski resorts worldwide. This
is real snow, not special snow foam effects!
Requires outside temperatures of
25 degrees Fahrenheit or below. See chart

We offer 2 products for home snowmaking. The Snow Wand which
requires an air compressor or the Blizzard Sport that comes
complete. Both are manufactured by Snow Economics Inc.

Local rentals of the Blizzard Sport are also available in
Connecticut only.

a 20 amp power source. (Outlet or
generator)
- An unfrozen
hose spigot that can produce a minimum of 3 gallons of clean
water per minute. (No pond water)
- Air temperatures at
or below 25 degrees (Green area on
chart).
- Anything less than
listed, the machine will not
work!

Due to demand, we do
not discount or donate our machines to "worthy causes".
Delivery & Pick-up service is available at an additional
charge. Renter is responsible for securing the machine from
theft during the rental period. (Yes, people will take them
in the middle of the night from your
yard!)
A 20% non-refundable
deposit is required to reserve a machine. No refunds are
given if weather conditions do not favor snow making on the
reserved date. You can transfer your deposit to reserve any
other open date during the current winter season. Contact
us to reserve a machine.
For our rentals,
TJB-INC will provide a Blizzard Sport Snow Making Machine, (2) 50'
10-gauge extention cords, Hands-on Instructions before we leave the
machine with you, 3/4" Garden hose (if needed), "Middle of the
night" repair kit, 24-hr Access phone # for help (if needed).
For 2 day or longer rentals, we also provide a
Snow-Wand stand, Extention water & air hoses (all at no
additional cost) to help you cover a larger area more
quickly.
Man-Made snow is much
denser than natural snow (3:1 Air to Water Ratio vs 10:1 for
natural snow). With its' ice crystal neucleus, Man-Made
snow will pack tighter and will withstand many more rain
events and warm days before it disappears than natural
snow. At the output of 50 cuft per hour, you can cover 1000
sqft/1" thick in about 3 hrs. with the Blizzard Sport. If you
want to make a hill, jump, or sledding course with curbs, use bales
of straw or hay to create the elevations, then cover with
snow. Groom as necessary. Several inches deep is all
you need for days of fun. A deeper snow base will extend
your outdoor winter fun for a much longer period of
time.
As far as we know, we
are the only company in the USA that rents Real Snow Making
Machines. There are many special effects foam snow makers
available but you can not sled on their snow. If you live in
a colder climate and would like to make additional winter income in
your area, purchase a machine from us and we will send customers
to you from your area and post your information on our web
sites so people can contact you for rentals (Not Valid in
Connecticut).
