<li>You need a check valve assembly to hook up your pump to your plumbing. </li>
<li>The check valve prevents water from draining out of the BIOFALLS Filter during a power outage keeping the aqutic benificial bacteria in the BIOFALLS alive.</li>
<li>Simplifies pump removal during winter or maintenance times.</li>
<li>No tools need when removing pump. Just use your hands to unscrew one of the two large couplings on the check valve.</li>
<li>Included piece of Flex Pipe can be cut to fit any custom installation. (does not come with & is not required with the Signature Series Check Valves)</li>
<li>PVC Primer & PVC Flex Cement required for installation of check valve assemblies that include the piece of Flex Pipe</li>
