SOLAR LED LIGHT USER MANUAL
GENERAL
Please read these instructions carefully prior to installation and retain them for your future reference. This product is for domestic use only.
HOW YOUR GARDEN LED LIGHT WORKS
During the day, the solar panel converts sunlight into electricity and recharges the internal battery(s). At night, the light turns on automatically and uses the power stored in the battery(s). The number of hours the light stays on depends upon the amount of sunlight the product has received the previous day. Up to a maximum of approximately 8 hrs for the smaller lights and 4-6 hrs for the 6x9's.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Decide upon a suitable mounting position for your light with help of these notes:
- Position your light in a location where it can receive maximum esposure to solar radiation during the day.
- Keep the solar panel clean by regularly wiping over the surface with a damp cloth. A dirty panel will reduce the amount of solar radiation that is available to charge the units battery(s)
- Try not to position your light in a location where solar radiation will be diminished, E.G. beneath trees or bushes. The effect from this will be a greatly reduced lighting up period at night, because the battery(s) within the unit will not be fully charged.
- Due to fewer daylight hours and generally cloudier skies in the autumn and winter, the overall lighting up period will be less during these months.
- The light turns on automatically at night via the built in photosensor. This sensor can fail to operate if the light is positioned in a location where bright light falls on the unit during the hours of darkness e.g. from another outdoor light.
- The lights are made of glass and are subject to the expansion and contraction of
harsh northeastern winters and summers. If installing in these locations, allow room for expansion or your light may crack.
- NOTE: THE LIGHT MAY BECOME SLIPPERY WHEN WET AND CAUTION MUST BE TAKEN WHEN DECIDING A LOCATION.
- THE LIGHT SHOULD NOT BE SET INTO CONCRETE. THIS WILL DAMAGE THE PRODUCT AND WILL PREVENT ACCESS TO THE BATTERY(S) / SWITCH WHEN REQUIRED
HOW TO USE YOUR GARDEN LED LIGHT
1. Turn on the lamp by pushing the switch and place it according to the instructions noted above.
2. The unit should be left in direct sunshine for at least 8 hrs. (This will enable the batteries to reach their fully charged state.) If the sky is overcast, this period of time should be increased.
3. The lamp will now switch on when ever it becomes dark and switch off when daylight returns or the battery power runs out.
