7/29/2014 – how much Avocet do I use in a gallon of water I lost my directions
Response From TJB-INC: It depends upon the target plant you are trying to kill. Most times a 2% or 3% solution is all you need. Avocet is the same as Round-up but labeled for Aquatic use.
4/3/2012 – I have a one acre pond. Will this product make the fish unsafe to eat and will it make the pond unsafe to swim in?
Response From TJB-INC: Avocet is designed to work by spraying on the green growing foliage and is absorbed by the weed it will travel through the shaft of the weed and down into the root system. The weeds the will begin turning brown but you should not try and cut or remove them right away. Leave them for a few more days so the chemicals can travel all the way down to the root system. When trying to kill cat tails you have to remember that cat tails only use 1/3 of their root system at a time. With this being said you do have to reapply the spray 1 to 2 times more to kill the complete root system. There are no water use restriction with this product.
7/26/2010 – Will this product kill my Bass population in a closd pond. (1 acre in size)
Response From TJB-INC: No but if you do not have aeration, only spray 1/2 of your pond at a time. As the vegetation dies, the oxgyen levels will drop in the pond. By only treating 1/2 at a time, you make sure the fish can migrate to the non treated area.
