Duel removable connections. One below the check valve allowing you to remove pump without draining the BIOFALLS Filter and one above to be able to drain your BioFalls. No tools needed!
You need a check valve assembly to hook up your pump to your plumbing. The check valve also prevents water from draining out of the BIOFALLS Filter when the pump power is turned off. Since the benificial AquaClearer Bacteria in your BioFalls Filter needs to stay wet or it will die, the use of a Check Valve prevents this from happening if your power goes out. The use of a Check Valve simplifies pump removal as well. Unscrew 2 coupler connections by hand and you are able to easily remove your pump for winter storage or repair.
