4/16/2011 – What size pump would you recommend for a 36" basin. I havent found one on your site that looks like the one in the video?
Response From TJB-INC: You want around 1200 to 1500 gph for every 12" of colorfalls.
A 4000 AquaSurge pump would work just fine.
5/31/2010 – Approximately how far out does the waterfall come from the wall? I'm trying to figure out how large of area I will need.
Response From TJB-INC: There is a 5" lip so how much sticks out is up to you when you install it. I install them with 3/8" of the weir sticking out in front of the wall face. They are made to work even if you flush mount them.
As far as how far from the wall the water flows, I would plan on 6-8" if you use the required pump size. 100 gph per 1" of Colorfalls width. (IE: 24" wide requires a 2400 gph pump)
But it will depend upon how far the falls is mounted above the basin. For outdoor applications, any more than 18" higher, you will have the water stream interupted by wind gusts. This will cause the water to land outside of the basin area.
If you mount the basin directly againist the face of the wall, the water will land in the middle of the basin.
I will be posting a video soon and you will be able to see what I mean.
5/26/2010 – In your video, you don't mention the size of the hose needed to hook up to the color waterfall. And there are no instructions in the box??
Please provide me with this information as soon as possible. Thank you!
Steve
Response From TJB-INC: The Colorfalls use a 1.25 (1 1/4") inlet. The kits come complete with 1.25 (1 1/4") hose to connect the pump to the colorfalls.
Note: This information is also in the product description pages. It is listed as: "•1¼" FIPT Pipe Inlet"
