swan to scare off geese
From Ann MACDIARMID of Rosseau, Ontario on .
So far so good. No geese have landed with the swan in place. Very realistic looking.
So lifelike it could lay eggs!
From Sue H. of Harwinton, Connecticut on .
Haven't heard herons flying over the pond but once this season so far. And we've left up the PVC hoops that previously supported the netting we installed temporarily earlier this Spring. Maybe the herons see the hoops and think the netting is still up? Who knows?
But we wanted more protection. Although the swan was not recommended as a heron deterrent, our ornamental pond is so small and already has some early Spring coverage that we decided to float one anyhow. It's really lovely and huge and the enormous water surface area covered at least gives the fish another place to hide.
So far...so far.
Swan Decoy

Look great and great company to work with!
Did not work for me
From Anonymous of York, Maine on .
The pair of swans are handsome floating in the pond!
Even the geese are impressed, but they sure aren’t scared away!
Too bad!
NOTE FROM SHOPTJB: Sorry they did not work out for you as you had hoped. Try taking one of the pair and put it on shore at the edge of the water. This will simulate a nesting swan. Then take the other one and tether it allowing it to move around the area (up to 25'). This will simulate a nesting couple which are much more of a threat to Canada Geese than just floating on the water.
swan decoy
From RHODA SINGER of TORONTO, Ontario on .
the swan looks great. unfortunately my Canadian geese are not afraid of it. I guess I will use it as a nice decoration outside in the back yard.
product arrived as was promised.
Canadians, the pricing is in US dollars so keep that in mind.

My swan lost his face, how do i get a replacement? Seelydeb@gmail.com
Keeping the geese away! Yeah!
From Anonymous of Hartland, Wisconsin on .
The swan is very well constructed and is larger than I envisioned. Seems very sturdy init's construction and thankfully appears to be keeping the geese away from out pier.
Shipping was substantial, but seems fair for the size and weight of the item. Happy with the product.
Very nice
From Anonymous of Ingleside, Illinois on .
Nice, glue the head on when you get it
Beautiful Lifelike Swans
From Swan Lake, NY of Swan Lake, New York on .
Swans look absolutely beautiful and lifelike. I don't know how they will hold up. Plastic doesn't seem that sturdy and I am hoping that tab to anchor in the water does not break off. I would have given five stars if I knew how long they are going to last!
Highly recommended

Good product.
excellent
From gordon of st charles, Illinois on .
My swan arrived promptly and I put him/her on duty in my front flower bed right away. The geese got the idea and have moved on to someone else's yard I guess.
Thanks
It Works
From Anonymous of Lake Forest, California on .
The swan is well made and seems to work in keeping out the Geese from our Lagoon area. But as soon as they get use to seeing it just floating around it may not work, we wish it was remote motorized We need these geese to be afraid very afraid.
Response by ShopTJB: My suggestion is to purchase an RC boat from a local hobby shop that you can mount the decoy to. Then from shore you can control where the swan goes and watch the Geese fly!
Swan Received
From John Keller of Palm Springs, California on .
Geese in the pool are a problem at our vacation house. Installing swan this week. Nothing to report on it's effectiveness yet.
Excellent Quality
From Cliff of Yuma, Arizona on .
Exactly as shown! They are great and receiving nothing but positive comments from the residents of the golf resort.
Disappointing
From Anonymous of West Stockbridge, Massachusetts on .
We had great hopes for the swans being somewhat effective in diverting our annual contingent of Canadian Geese away from our small beach. But some high winds bounced them about early in the season to the point that one developed a hole in its side and it sunk to the bottom of the pond. We are currently trying to repair it and hope that it will swim again. The thickness of the shell was a disappointment.

They look good and so far seem to be working. I like the fact you can change the nechs around

Geese were gone after 1 day with these Swan Decoys!
Good Quality But Ineffective
From Karen Burden of White Haven, Pennsylvania on .
I found the swan decoys realistic and well constructed. However, I positioned them early in the morning and left to golf. When I came home, the geese were all around them and one was trying to interact with one decoy. I laughed so hard I cried.
swan decoy (See note from ShopTJB)
From Anonymous of Mound, Minnesota on .
For 2 or 3 days geese were out of the area. After that they were eating grass in front of swans' noses....
No luck at all...
NOTE FROM SHOPTJB: Sometimes this happens. There are some Canada Geese that are just not scared of Swans. For these Geese, we recommend using the more expensive but guaranteed "Away with Geese" unit also sold here on www.ShopTJB.com. You can also try our coyote decoy to keep the swans off the lawn.
Excellent Job!
From Sally Marks of Springfield, Massachusetts on .
I put the 2 swans in my pond and within 2 hrs all of the Canada Geese flew away. They have not been back since. Thank you very much for a product that really works!
Shipping
From Roger Heineke of Swanton, Ohio on .
Product fine but I paid two shipping charges for two swans. They came in one box and the charges were 1/2 cost of swans. Complained about charges, they didn't know shipments were in one box. Will check and call back. Two weeks with no returned calls.
ShopTJB Response:
Hi Roger,
I have the answers you were looking for on your order. 1-2 swans can be shipped together in one box. Because of the large size of the box, UPS (& Fed Ex) both use dimensional weight instead of actual weight. The $63.80 shipping charge reflects the actual charge to ship your order. It is based upon the size of the box, 36" x 11" x 19" plus the weight of actual shipment using info direct from the shippers website.
On our invoice from the carrier for this order, the shipping charge was $63.80. Exactly what was charged. Our E commerce site links directly to the carrier's rate tables and that is what is displayed when you see the shipping charges on our www.ShopTJB.com site. We do not have any control over these charges and we always make them visible to the customer before & during checkout so there are no surprises.
I did not know that shipping would put 2 in the same box to save shipping costs. It turns out, to ship each swan individually would have cost more than the $63.80 that was charged. Because I did not know this and because of your inquiry, I have changed the verbage on the product page in the storefront.
Thank you for your inquiry.

No Luck
From Paul of Canton, Michigan on .
Product is marketed as a way to control Canadian Geese. No Luck. The Geese swam into the water with them and swam around and between them .. no fear. The (4) Swans I purchased are anchored in two ponds with a lead tether so they can float around with the wind/breeze. I give them two stars only because they do look very realistic from a short distance and look good in the water. Geese like them too. :<(
NOTE FROM ShopTJB: Sometimes the geese are smarter than we think and know the difference between a decoy and a real swan. My suggestion to you is to allow the grass area (3'-4') along the edge of the pond to grow wild. This will present a blockage for the geese because that area is where their normal natural predators will hide. I suspect that after the grass grows up, the geese will move on to a new water/grass source and hopefully the next flock will be intimidated by the swan decoys! ... TED
No Directions
From John of Cedar Point, North Carolina on .
Head and neck are pointed down. No directions included.
NOTE FROM SHOPTJB: John, the head and neck are attached with a rubber connector which allows you to swivel and move the head and/or neck to many different positions. They were pointed down so they would fit into the box for shipping only. Call me if you have any questions. TED 203-287-0636
