11/18/2011 – Do you carry to old style socket or know where I can get them? I have the Black/white wire pigtail
Response From TJB-INC: Old style has been discontinued and we do not know of any manufacturer that makes them. You can use the new sockets (your only choice) but you will have to use some silicone adhesive to hold the socket in place because they do not have the clip like the old style.
5/8/2011 – I just recently purchased the replacement new light sockets with the hole in the middle and black wires. I did not realize that I had the old style wedge sockets. Would the new ones still work with the old ones. I tired it and it did;nt work. Is there a difference in voltage? Or am I just instaling it incorrectly. Do I need to strip the wiring sheath and expose the wire? Can I get by and use these new ones rather than returning it and purchaseing the old style ones?
Response From TJB-INC: Hi Dennis, If the new sockets will fit in the old style mounting brackets in your light fixtures then you can use them. To install into your current power line, you will need to make sure there is an electrical connection between the black leads of the socket and the main power feed line. whether you need to strip the wires will depend upon the wire connectors you are using.
