11/3/2014 – please confirm that the led light only turns red when it needs to heat....non-freezing temps, it stays blue? So, it turns off and on...yes? I have winterized my pond (zone 5) we have had a little snow...but no freezing as yet.....so light is blue. Should it be turning red at all?
Response From TJB-INC: The red light will come on when the water temperature is 34° until then the light will stay blue meaning that it's ready to turn on as soon as the temperature drops.
1/17/2012 – I had to return the Aquascape 300 W. because regardless of the water temperature the Aquascape kept cycling at every 30 second involvements. If the pond was covered with ice about 2" inches thick, did the same cycling at every 30 seconds. The seller did not give me any help. So I returned the item for refund. Can anyone tell me that the Aquastat should cycle like my purchased De-Icer? Please let me kno. I got now the Tetra De-Icer with thermostat, but there are no indicator lights for cooling or heating. I would like to see if the De-Icer gives me some infprmation by its lights.

Response From TJB-INC: It sounds like you had a defective unit. Since you did not purchase it from ShopTJB.com I can not comment because I did not see the unit. If working correctly, the unit will stay on when the temperature is below 34 degrees. The Aquascape 300 watt heater we sell comes with a 1 year warranty that we will stand behind if you ever had any problems. Also, make sure not to put the heater near a running waterfall. The water must be calm in order for the thermostat to work correctly. The Aquascape 300 Watt heater does have an indicator light on the top of the unit that tells the user if it is working or in standby mode. Watch the video to learn more.
