3/12/2016 – I live in northern OK, have a little 100 gal. pond usingA coop horse tank, 2'X 2' X 4' long. I have fish and plants in it that are not hardy to freezing temperatures. Will this 2 stone deal keep them safe in winter, temp can get 10-15 degrees below zero.
Thanks, Mary
Response From TJB-INC: No. The plants will die once the air temperatures above the pond water reach 32 degrees. Aerating the water will not help.
11/4/2012 – I have a pond 1/3 acre about 7 feet deep. I want to protect the fish from winter kill. what equipment do you suggest?
Response From TJB-INC: One or two of the AquascapePro Aerators or the Airmax AM30.

6/11/2012 – I have a pond about 1/2 acer .I feel like this might help but is it to small?
Response From TJB-INC: Yes, the Koi Air would be better suited for your application but any aeration is better than none.
3/21/2012 – I have a above ground water garden.I want to add fish with out winter kill .the pond is 8x12x3ft about 2,140 gallons what are my options? Idid use a pond heater one yr and my electric bill almost doubled so that is out .I live in northwestern Wisc
Response From TJB-INC: The PondAir units will help keep a hole open and for a lot less money than a heater. If you need to use a heater, find one that is 300 watts or less to keep electricity costs down.
1/4/2012 – I don't have a pond, I have a 100 gallon water tank for my horse, and I'd like to see if I can keep the surface ice free without a heater. Would a pond air 2 stone do the trick?
Response From TJB-INC: Aeration will help keep holes open in the ice. By keeping the water moving. ice will have a hard time forming.
7/13/2011 – I am trying to hook this aerator up to a small pv panel... what is the wattage rating for the 2 stone pump and do I need an inverter or does it run on DC?
Response From TJB-INC: The 2 stone unit use 5 watts of 110VAC power. The unit will not run on DC power.
4/19/2011 – I do not have a pond. My application is aeration in a 7,000 gallon well tank here in the California desert. We have a sulphur problem - H2S smell in our water. Last year, I decided to try aeration in the tank. I bought a 60 gallon aquarium aerator at Wal Mart. It may seem small, but there are no animals in the water to consume 02. There was a marked improvement. However, once I increased the sensor-limited depth of the tank, the smell returned somewhat during the hottest period of summer. I suspect that a more powerful pump, delivering at greater depth (around six feet) might improve things. What depth range does your pump support?
Response From TJB-INC: Hi Dave,
I have used these in Rainwater storage tanks up to 20' deep with no problems.
10/30/2010 – My pond is 9 x 15' avg of 3' deep (max is 4')My guess is 2500 to 3000 gallons. Central Wisconsin has cold winters. What do you recomend for a winter aerator?
I will not use a separate de-icer. Have 9-11 Koi 5-6" and one about 15".
Thanks,
Response From TJB-INC: For your pond and location, you should use a Koi Air 1

Response From TJB-INC: 3 million gallons? NOPE!

To answer this question will require a lesson in pond ecologics. PLease call me direct and I can go over this with you and come up with the correct recommendations.

3/24/2010 – My Aquascape Aerator quit in late winter. How do I know if I just need a
diaphram or a new unit?
Is a diaphram hard to replace?
Response From TJB-INC: Open up the cover and plug the unit in. Does the diaphram move back and forth? If yes, the motor is good. You will be able to see how to replace the diaphram with the cover off. It is very easy!
11/29/2009 – 11-29-09
Do you sell repair kits or parts for the pond aerator 4?
Thanks,
Joe
Response From TJB-INC: Yes. Replacement Diaphrams are available for $10.99 each. One diaphram controls 2 airstones. The PondAir2 requires 1 and the PondAir4 requires 2.
Note: The Replacement Diaphrams are on back order until January, 2010.
5/11/2009 – What is the power source, 12 voltDC, 110 AC etc?
Thanks
Response From TJB-INC: You can use any 12 VAC transformer to power these lights as long as the output wattage of the transformer is greater than the total of the wattage of the fixtures that you want to power.
