7/30/2012 – My aquascape weir flap is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 but it has two what I will call tabs to insert into the weir (no screws). Would your 6.0 weir flap work?
Response From TJB-INC: Yes. That is the measurements of the 6 inch weir flap.
7/27/2010 – The raccoons keep destroying the foam that allows the door to float and let in debris but not back out again. According to one of your answers you often just leave the door off altogether. Should I just take off the door? Or is there some benefit to having the door on there? Is it possible just to buy replacement foam? Thanks! Pat
Response From TJB-INC: Take the skimmer door off. It will then allow your fish to safely swim in and out of the skimmer box. We remove the flap on all of our installations.
5/14/2010 – I need a replacement weir flap. My weir measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". Is the 6.0 or 8.0 that size?
Response From TJB-INC: That is the 6.0
7/28/2009 – The door on the weir plate broke and I would like to know if I can just replace the door or do I have to purchase the entire plate?
Response From TJB-INC: Sorry for the delay, we were on holiday for 2 weeks.
Yes I have just the door if you need it. Please call me direct at 203-287-0636 to order.
As a side note, when TJB-INC does an installation, we remove the door from the front of the skimmer. We have found that with the door on, the fish can not swim in and out of the skimmer. Since all of the pond fish we use are "Riverine", they enjoy swimming in the fast current that goes into the skimmer openning. You might think about leaving the door off and see how your fish like it.
