RainXchange - Booster Pumps
Aquascape water feature pumps are designed to provide high flows at low pressure to waterfalls and streams. They are not designed to provide sufficient pressure for garden hose or irrigation applications. As a result, a separate Booster Pump is required with the RainXchange Systems when being used for irrigation or other watering chores such as, car, deck, or patio washing.
Our Booster Pumps are external pumps with a built-in pressure tank and electronic controller. The Booster Pumps are available in two sizes: a ¼ HP model and a larger ½ HP for applications requiring higher pressure for professional irrigation systems. Both Booster Pumps have a built-in thermal overload and run-dry shut off to protect the pump when the water becomes too low in the RainXchange Containment Basin. If your are using the water in the basin to also provide water to a waterfeature, we recommend a Low Water Pump Shutoff Switch to prevent the Booster Pump from using all the water in the basin. This will leave a small supply of water in the basin for your water feature pump to continue to operate
The RainXchange System is an ideal partner to combine with professionally installed drip or high pressure irrigation systems

High Pressure Sprinkler and Drip Irrigation: The RainXchange System can be used with professionally installed irrigation systems. We recommend consulting a professional irrigation installer in order to properly configure the RainXchange System into the design of these applications.
NOTE: Water from the RainXchange may contain more suspended sediment than tap water. Pre-filters designed for sprinklers and drip systems are recommended.
