3/24/2014 – If my rechargeable AAA solar battery gets wet, is it permanently damaged or can I dry it and reuse it??
Response From TJB-INC: You can just dry it off and reuse it. If you ever see any powder or ooze coming from a battery, then it is time to throw it away.
5/9/2013 – you refer to an on/off switch in the solar post cap. Where is the switch exactly.
Response From TJB-INC: If it has one, it will be just under the cover lip outside of the glass.
11/4/2012 – lookig for : 400 mah AA 1.2 volts nickel cadium solar batteries.
Response From TJB-INC: All we carry is the 800 and greater which should work in your application.
9/26/2012 – We have the 6X6 Tiffany Style solar glass post cap-mission. Do you sell Solar collectors and if you do, how much are they ? Thank you
Response From TJB-INC: I am sorry but I do not have replacement solar collectors for sale. Only complete lights & replacement batteries.
6/30/2012 – Can you use regular rechargable batteries in solar lights or do they have to be solar rechargable batteries?
Response From TJB-INC: Any rechargeable battery will work as long as the mAh rating is the same or greater. "Solar" is just a marketing term.
4/22/2012 – Can I recharge my AA outdoor solar light batteries and a regular battery charger like you would for Energizer AA batteries?
The solar batteries are NI-CD AA 1.2V 400mAh
Thanks
Response From TJB-INC: Yes, any Ni-Cad charger will work.
3/2/2011 – Can you use NiMH batteries as replacement for NiCD batteries?
Response From TJB-INC: Yes, they make a good substitution.
4/4/2010 – we have a solar light with
NiCa AA 600mAh 1.2V. can you use a charger to charge the battery and than put it in the solar panel?
Response From TJB-INC: Yes, this would ok for any NiCa battery
10/18/2009 – Our solar lighting system currently uses Ni-Cd 1.2v 400 mAh batteries. Do you know if these would work with our lighting system. No sure what the difference between 400 mAh and 800 mAh would do. Can you please let me know if these would work. Thanks
Response From TJB-INC: The difference is the length of time the light will stay on. The 88 mAH should work fine in your application. The lights may just stay on longer each night.
9/9/2009 – my lights have a AA 1.2 volt NiCd rechargeable battery at 400 mah. i have tried higher Mh batteries and the do not charge I have GE Solar lights. do yo have the right battery for my lights
Response From TJB-INC: I am sorry but I do not carry the 400 mAh rechargables. I would call GE Customer service and ask why the large mAh batteries will not work. I have use the higher ones in all of my replacements and have had no problems.
