Great Plain English Book on Pond Plants
From Ron M. of Oaklahoma City, Oklahoma on .
Pond Plants is well written in "plain English" that you don't have to be a botanist to understand. It is short and to the point on the various types of water plants. I appreciated the way the different kinds of water garden plants are separated out into the different areas around the pond: floating, submerged and marginals (water's edge). This book also brings clarity on the differences between water lilies and lotus with special sections devoted to these blooming plants, which I assume are the most popular of all water plants. We have a new pond that we just finished in November so we have not had the chance to put our new knowledge of water plants into practice, but we will venture out with a new sense of confidence. I would highly recommend this book to anyone needing a quick, easy to read course in the "how to's and which ones" of water plants.
